Introduction to Python - Workshop 1

Do you want to learn how to program? In this workshop you will be introduced to the Python Programming Language, and be taught the basic concepts that underpin programming generally.

In this session, we’ll cover the following concepts:

• Installing Python.
• “Hello, World!”, or writing your first line of code
• Variables and Types
• Math Operations
• Conditional Programming (IF statements)
• Functions
• Lists
• For & While loops
• String Operations
• Error handling

All you need to bring is yourself and a computer, We’ll walk through installing the language in the workshop.
